Only the pages they asked for
Forms and offices rarely want the whole document. A loan application wants the page of your salary slip with the total. A visa form wants the first page of your bank statement and the last. An insurer wants the two pages of a 60-page policy that show your cover.
Drop the PDF, tap the pages you need (they turn green), and press Extract pages. You get a new PDF with just those pages, named like policy-extracted.pdf. The full document stays on your device as it was.
Picking pages that are far apart
Tap them in any order. They’re saved in the order they appear in the original, so page 2 comes before page 47 even if you tapped 47 first. If you need a different order, open the new file in Organize PDF and drag them.
Thumbnails are drawn as you scroll, so it’s quick to find page 47 in a long file.
Extract, split or delete?
| You want | Use |
|---|---|
| a few pages, as one new PDF | Extract PDF pages |
| every page, or groups of pages, as separate files | Split PDF |
| the whole document minus a few pages | Delete PDF pages |
If you already know the page numbers, Split PDF’s custom ranges let you type them, though each range becomes its own file. Here you see the pages, which is better when you’re looking for “the page with the total on it”.
Quality and size
Pages are copied exactly, with their text, images and links, so nothing gets blurrier. The new file only carries what those pages need, so a few pages of a big scan come out much smaller. If the extracted pages still need to fit a limit like 200 KB, Compress PDF can do that next. To combine pages from two different PDFs, extract from each, then merge the results.
