Terms

The short version
PocketPDFs is free to use, for personal or work tasks, with no account. Only use it on files you have the right to use. The tools run on your device, so your files stay with you. Check important results before you rely on them, and keep your original file.
Using PocketPDFs
By using pocketpdfs.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You can use it for free, for yourself or your work, as often as you like. You don't need to sign up.
Your files, your responsibility
You keep every right to your files. We don't receive them and claim nothing over them. In return, you agree to:
- only use files you own or have permission to use;
- only remove passwords from files you are allowed to open, such as your own bank statements;
- never use the tools to forge a signature, fake a document, or do anything illegal or harmful to someone else;
- not try to break, overload or copy the site in ways that harm it or other people using it.
Signatures and forms
"Sign PDF" places a picture of your signature on the page, just like signing a printout and scanning it. Many offices and companies accept this, but whether a signature is accepted is up to whoever receives your document. Some documents in India legally need a certified digital signature (a DSC or Aadhaar eSign) instead. If you aren't sure, ask the person or office you're sending it to.
Only sign with your own signature, or with clear permission from the person whose signature it is.
How the tools work
The tools run inside your browser and process files on your device (the privacy page has the details). Because of that, how fast and how well a tool works can depend on your device and browser. Very large files may need more memory than some phones have.
We may add, change or remove tools at any time. If a tool ever needs our server, its page will say so clearly before you use it.
No guarantee
We work hard to make every result correct, and we test the tools carefully. Even so, PocketPDFs is provided "as is", without any guarantee that it will always be available, free of mistakes, or right for a particular purpose. Please check the result before you send it anywhere important, such as an exam, government or job portal, and keep a copy of your original file.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or not being able to use it, including lost files, lost data, missed deadlines or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters for how you use the site, we will say so on the site. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be decided by the courts of India.
